Beware of 2008 email scams from what appears to be the IRS!
Update from the Internal Revenue Website, November 2007
Emails that appear to be from the Internal Revenue Service, asking for personal information, may be coming again to your inbox this year. Similar to fraudulent emails appearing to come from banks, these emails usually carry the logo from the IRS, and a link to what may seem to be thel IRS official website.
However, these "phishing" emails are NOT from the IRS but rather from fraudulent websites trying to convince you to give them your personal information.
The South Florida accounting firm of Melvin B. Friedberg, P.A. reminds you to never give out personal information unless you are absolutely sure you are dealing with a legitimate website or person.
